Changing your Computer to dial new numbers and use username@281.bz

NOTE:  "username" is name assigned to your by 281 Communications.  This is NOT your E-mail address.  Usually your username is the first letter of your first name and your last name.  example:  Tim Moczygemba   username = tmoczygemba

Win95/98 Instructions for Changing Login Information:

1. Close all Programs
2. Double Left Click on My Computer
3. Double Left Click on Dial-Up Networking
4. Right-Click on 281.com Icon
5. Left Click on Properties
6. Leave the Area Code Blank
And type NEW PHONE NUMBER in the Phone Number Field (see below for list of local numbers in Highland Lakes area)
7. Left Click Ok
8. Double Left Click on the 281.com Icon
9. Change the Username to username@281.bz
10. Left Click Connect and Verify the Connection Works.
11. Once Online the Settings are Saved and All
Open Windows May Be Closed

3. (Make Sure You Are in Classic View, If Not Click on
"Switch to Classic View" in the Upper Left Area of
the Window--Your background in Control Panel will be
white if in Classic View)
4. Double Left Click on Network Connections
5. Double Left Click on 281.com
6. Change the Username to username@281.bz
7. Change the Phone Number to NEW PHONE NUMBER (see below for list of local numbers in Highland Lakes area)
8. Left Click Dial
9. Left Click "Yes" to Make Phone Number Change Permenant
10. Verify the Connection Works.
11. Once Online the Settings are Saved and All
Open Windows May Be Closed
