Windows XP - Dialup Settings

To check your Dialup settings in Windows XP:

From the Start menu, choose Control Panel. Click the Network and Internet Connections option, then choose Network Connections. Note: If the Control Panel is in Classic View, double click the Network Connections icon.

Create a new connection

The following dialog should come up.

Select "Connect to the Internet" then "Next"

Select "Set up my connection Manually" then "Next"

You will be using a Dialup connection via. your Modem, select "Connect using a dial-up modem" then "Next"

Give your connection a name like "281 Dialup" then "Next"

Enter your local number (this probably does not include the prefix--i.e. "830" above--Some areas require all 10 digits).

Fill in your 281 user account name and password. NOTE:  Most usernames have "@281.bz" after them.

Your Done!
